We have always had a long term plan and have mentioned from the very start that bringing this airshow back after 26 years wasnt a one off and that we would build it bigger & better each year.

The Eurofighter Typhoon is a twin-engine, canard-delta wing, multirole fighter developed by British Aerospace EAP and currently in service with the Royal Air Force.
The iconic Supermarine Spitfire is a British single-seat fighter aircraft that was used by the Royal Air Force and many other Allied countries before, during and after World War II.
The North American Aviation T-6 Texan is a single-engined advanced trainer aircraft used to train pilots of the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF), United States Navy, Royal Air Force, and other air forces of the British Commonwealth during World War II and into the 1970s.
The Hughes OH-6 Cayuse (nicknamed “Loach”, after the requirement acronym LOH — Light Observation Helicopter) is a single-engine light helicopter with a four-bladed main rotor used for personnel transport, escort and attack missions, and observation.
The Avro Lancaster is a British four-engined Second World War heavy bomber designed and built by Avro for the Royal Air Force (RAF). It first saw active service with RAF Bomber Command in 1942 and, as the strategic bombing offensive over Europe gathered momentum, it was the central implement for the night-time bombing campaigns that followed.
The Hawker Hurricane is a British single-seat fighter aircraft of the 1930s-1940s that was designed and predominantly built by Hawker Aircraft Ltd for the Royal Air Force (RAF). Although overshadowed by the Supermarine Spitfire, the aircraft became renowned during the Battle of Britain, accounting for 60% of the RAF’s air victories in the battle, and served in all the major theatres of the Second World War.
Widely used to transport troops and equipment during the Vietnam War, as well as limited support and attack missions. The different versions of the UH-l demonstrated their suitability to meet the requirements that a truly lightweight multi-purpose helicopter must be capable of. Although many of them were lost in combat, their mission capabilities, ease of maintenance, reduced purchase price and multi-purpose operational and capability characteristics have had a bearing on the fact that they can still be found in service in a variety of armies around the world where it is seen as the ideal solution to carry out the most varied of missions.
Lauren Richardson is 29 years old and one of the top aerobatic display pilots in the UK. She flys a beautiful and iconic modified Pitts Special aerobatic biplane, both as an airshow pilot and as a competitive sport aerobat.
Her passion passion is for flying and performing, pushing herself to provide the most exciting, precise and dynamic low level air displays possible.
Tom Cassells, Global Stars formation team leader took up aerobatics in 1992 after watching an aerobatic display by Pete Clark in a Firefly.
After being trained by Pete he entered a British Aerobatic Competition in the June 1992, won the beginners and placed top ten in Standard at the first contest.
Tom was hooked on aerobatics and the freedom it gives from that point onwards. He went on to be National champion at Standard, Intermediate and Advanced then later in 1994.
Moving up to Unlimited in 1995 British Nationals and entered the World Aerobatic Competition in 1996 in USA. He has been three times Unlimited British Champion, Six time top UK pilot at World and European Championships.
Twice winner of a bronze team medal and finishing twice in the top ten in European and World events
This aircraft is a Polish-built SB Lim-2 (MiG-15UTI), produced by WSK-Mielec in 1952. The aircraft is operated by the Norwegian Air Force Historical Squadron as a representative of the Cold War ‘enemy’.
Following its Polish Air Force service ending in 1990, the aircraft was exported to the USA, and based at Quillayute Airport just outside Forks, Washington. It was again returned to Europe in the summer of 2014. Experienced ex. Polish Air Force MiG-15 engineers carry out the maintenance of the aircraft.
Given the shared border between north-eastern Norway and Russia, and the many encounters between Royal Norwegian Air Force and Soviet aircraft during the Cold War, the Polish MiG is an appropriate addition to the Norwegian Air Force Historical Squadron.
The aircraft is painted and marked as “RED 18” to represent Russian-Soviet pilot and cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin’s MiG-15. He was the first human to journey into outer space in 1961. Before his cosmonaut training Yuri Alekseyevich Gagarin was stationed close to the Norwegian boarder and only 40 km from the Norwegian city of Kirkenes as a fighter pilot flying the MiG-15.
Their display is a mixture of fast and furious but also very graceful with these War-Birds having a style of their own – the crowds particularly enjoy it as it is very unusual for military aircraft to fly in formation but at low level and directly in front of the crowd with the smoke trailing the aircraft.
The Boeing Chinook is a tandem rotor helicopter operated by the Royal Air Force (RAF). A series of variants based on the United States Army’s Boeing CH-47 Chinook, the RAF Chinook fleet is the largest outside the United States. RAF Chinooks have seen extensive service including fighting in the Falklands War, peace-keeping commitments in the Balkans, and action in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.
The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) is a Royal Air Force flight which provides an aerial display group comprising an Avro Lancaster, a Supermarine Spitfire and a Hawker Hurricane.
Our wingwalkers are seen live by over 6 million spectators each year in the UK alone. They perform a breathtaking sequence of acrobatic manoeuvres and handstands whilst strapped to the top wings of the team’s beautiful Boeing Stearman biplanes. The team pilots fly the aircraft through a well rehearsed energetic routine of dazzling aerobatics and close formation flypasts as the wingwalkers wave at the crowd. These manoeuvres include, loops, rolls, stall turns and even inverted flight! During all of this, the wingwalkers experience speeds of up to 150 mph and ‘G’ forces of up to 4G!
The Bronco Demo Team’s OV-10 will be bringing Poppies from Flanders Fields to venues and airshows all over Europe in 2017; supporting a message of peace and reconciliation in remembrance of the sacrifice by so many 100 years ago.
The Bronco Demo Team is based at Kortrijk-Wevelgem airport situated just 12 nm East from the Ypres salient. The airfield was first used during World War I, initially by German fighter squadrons and later, during the advance of the Allied Powers leading to the end of the conflict, by the Royal Air Force.
As a commemoration of The Great War, the Bronco Demo Team has adorned their OV-10 Bronco in a truly amazing new “Poppy” livery. The Poppies and “LEST WE FORGET, 1914-18” graphics reflect light differently when the aircraft moves, producing a different shine and brightness at various angles. The effect is outright awesome and very unique!
Widely recognised as the UK’s premier military parachute display team, the Falcons, based at RAF Brize Norton, Oxfordshire, display at venues all over Britain and Europe throughout the year.
